Christen Carter founded Busy Beaver Button Co. back in 1995, and you can read her story in McSweeney’s Interviews With People Who Have Interesting or Unusual Jobs here.

She cites a favorite button from the 1920s of a flapper looking at herself in the mirror.  The “metamorphic” style button is shown above, and lives in the “Art” section of the Busy Beaver Button Museum.

We thought you might like to take a peek at it to understand the nature of its design, and what it reveals.
